Avia is a managed Forex program owned by LEFTURN inc. based in Ontario Canada. Their Avia investment program is promising an average monthly return depending on the level of risk tolerance – Conservative (12%), Moderate (18%), Aggressive(25%), and Very aggressive(34%).
In addition to managed Forex accounts, LEFTURN also trades on Cryptocurrencies. They also offer a Forex trading program called Steady Growth.
Moreover, LEFTURN does not disclose ownership information and we’re not sure what kind of investment experience they have.
For that reason, we’ll provide a thorough analysis of the Avia investment program so the community can decide whether or not it’s a viable option.
Avia Managed Forex Review
The Avia sales page consists of general information which is sort of limited instead of providing us with meaningful information about why we can trust Avia and the services it can offer.
They want the community to know that Avia is a highly disciplined systematic approach. They list the following trading account requirements on their website:
- Have at least 1:500 leverage for accounts <$15k
- Allow an unlimited number of open positions
- Allow hedging
- Allow us to trade micro lots of 0.01
Avia’s primary objective is to limit risk exposure in all market conditions by utilizing both technical and fundamental analysis along with market sentiment for establishing daily directions.
This information does not tell us what investment approach they’re using on their managed Forex accounts to gain the kind of results they claim to have.
Avia Trading Strategy
They tell the community that Avia uses multiple strategies based on the market conditions and their approach is 30% powered by proprietary algorithms and 70% discretionary.
Their trading style suggests that they’re using mainly manual strategies with a touch of automated trading strategies.
Besides, they’re not providing us with the exact methodology or approach to the Forex market.
We expected a managed Forex program like Avia to provide details of their trading approach so that the community can decide whether or not to use the services.
At this point, we believe that it is in your best interest to search for vetted products and services that enhance trading.
Trading Result
This vendor does not have a specific strategy but insists on using a combination of strategies to achieve results.
The Avia sales page is displaying a widget for various levels of risk tolerance where results are documented on the FXblue platform and myfxbook.com. We do not like FXblue due to its convoluted way of presenting result statistics.
For that reason, we will lay more emphasis on the myfxbook.com account which is available only for the Conservative Level of Risk Tolerance.
The monthly return is +58.77% while the drawdown is 23.04%. This trading account has existed for just a couple of months now and a drawdown greater than 15% is not impressive.
Furthermore, this account has made a total trade of 2719 within this short duration. This is also a sign that something fishy is happening behind.
The main problem is why a conservative account will be trading at such frequency. We do not like it and we believe the vendor is using a high-risk trading approach that is detrimental to this account.
Conclusion
Avia seems to be using a very aggressive trading approach without considering the level of risk tolerance.
As it stands, the Avia Forex program does not offer hope for a trader that wants to invest with a conservative trading method.
They probably think this is profitable but according to our observation, vendors with a more conservative approach tend to be more profitable and stable in the long run.
I do not see myself recommending this service but if the Avia investment program can tweak its trading strategies and adopt a more conservative approach, we can consider a review update.
